June: Wise Politics & Geo-politics: (SDG 16)

June 2018: Wise Politics & Geo-politics: (SDG 16)

From Nationalism towards Global Reality

Call for Papers:

Throughout human history, when economic thinking is changing, politics & geo-politics will change as well. Unfortunately, few politicians or policymakers are even dimly aware of the changes underway in economics; but these changes are deep and profound, and the implications for policy and politics are potentially transformative.
It should also be emphasized that wise politics is not necessarily new. Rather it builds on well-established heterodox traditions in politics such as behavioral politics, institutional politics, evolutionary politics, and studies of politics history, as well as newer streams such as complex systems studies, network theory, and experimental politics.
The common thread running through these fields is a strong desire to make wise politics better reflect the maturity and heightened consciousness of mankind. This trend in politics and geo-politics started as far as the end of the Second World War, when leaders of the world decided to reduce the follies and established the UN. It was later reinforced by the not-so-local diplomacy and visionary thinkers.
Unfortunately, with the advent of Postnormal Times characterized by chaos, complexity and contradiction we are introduced to new normalcy everyday – that is increasing the follies to the point of no control. That’s why we are in a desperate need to develop wise politics and geo-politics based on wise diplomacy on the international level, and Holacracy & Meritocracy on the local level.
So, the essence of Wise Politics nests in the use of tax-payers’ money not for indoctrination and creating xenophobia and skepticism, but to increase their future consciousness and immerse them in the Global Reality. This will mark the new age of departure from nationalism to embrace the Global Identity.
* Holacracy: is a form of self-management that confers decision power on fluid teams, or “circles,” and roles rather than individuals (a new form of democracy).
Holacracy shapes roles in the governments to make the most of their people, for instance, and allows each citizen to influence the governance of the whole country.
* Meritocracy: is a political philosophy holding that power should be vested in individuals almost exclusively based on ability and talent. Advancement in such a system is based on performance measured through examination and/or demonstrated achievement in the field where it is implemented.

Main Themes:
1. Future of Politics: Form Nationalism towards Global Reality.
2. Wise Politics: Best Practices (Holacracy & Meritocracy).
3. Seeing the Big Picture: Narrative Politics embracing the Global Identity.
4. Ways to initiate a Wisdom Index & a Wisdom Maturity Model in the field of Politics (UN mission).
5. Aligning Wise Politics with SDG 16.
6. Ways to create Wise Leaders in the field of Politics.

World Wisdom Initiative

Humanity has reached a point in its history where the critical success factor is not food or water or innovation and creating wealth, though all of these are very important. I think what we need today and for the better of our future is wisdom.
